L’Orée du Bois was originally a dress designed by Jacques Fath for Rita Hayworth’s wedding trousseau. It was the golden colour of this beautiful garment which inspired perfumer Luca Maffei to create an entirely unique ‘gold’ accord, forming the signature of this unique composition. This gold accord is blended from elite ingredients, peppery cumin, luxurious saffron and lush cinnamon forming a distinctive characteristic. This stunning fragrance was designed to stimulate all of our senses, create surprises and reflect nature; the way we feel when walking in the woods, golden glimmers of sunlight streaking through the branches, the fun of playing games, the sound of the wind and the touch of wood and grass all captured within an exceptional fragrance.

Notes from the Playground

L’Orée du Bois by Jacques Fath commences with a bright opening, fruity, sweet bergamot fuses into sparkling mandarin then softens as light floral neroli emerges. Gently an engaging sweetness develops as mimosa flower encompassed by dry broom and rich orange blossom absolute create a harmonious, voluptuous heart. The spicy golden signature accord materialises, blended with modern honey, cashmeran and rich woods which excite our senses.
