January seems to have vanished in the blink of an eye and February is already upon us. Since our January Journal, a lot has been going on behind the scenes at Perfume Playground to ensure that 2021 will be even more exciting and surprise-filled than 2020. Looking back on our January Explorers Box, we teased a new brand that was joining Perfume Playground in the month of January, and the wait is finally over... We are incredibly excited to welcome the legendary French house of Molinard to Perfume Playground! This fabulous house has blessed us with its creations for over 170 years, and has launched some truly iconic fragrances like Habanita, Nirmala and Molinard de Molinard, as well as some contemporary new additions like Aqua Lotus and Cuir de Molinard that are fast becoming our all-time favourites! 

An equally exciting part of this new partnership with Molinard is that 2021 is the year Habanita celebrates its centenary! Molinard released the current incarnation of Habanita in 2012, its first outing as an Eau de Parfum. Although the saying says that "if it isn't broke, don't fix it", the Habanita of today is certainly no lesser than the original. In fact, the Eau de Parfum still uses the same 600 ingredients from 1921, which creates the timeless masterpiece of powdery, woody and spicy notes that can only be Habanita. 

The month of February is always full of excitement, from Chinese New Year to super bowl Sunday and pancake day there is so much to look forward to. Still, February also serves as a reminder that Valentine's day is fast approaching. Although Valentine's day is traditionally about giving a gift to a loved one, there is never any shame in a little bit of self-love either!
