Callisto

"Les 'White'" Collection is directly inspired by Julien and Madalina’s (Jul et Mad) love for art, culture, music, history, philosophy etc. ‘La Dame a la Licorne’, one of the greatest works of the Middle Ages in Europe is the modern title given to a series of six anonymous tapestries, woven with wool and silk, inspired by designs from Paris around the 1500’s. 5 of these tapestries are interpreted as representing the 5 senses whilst the sixth shows the words ‘my only desire’. Whilst the meaning remains obscure, it has been interpreted as a symbol of love or compassion. The fragrance Callisto is inspired by Julien and Madalina’s love and passion for astronomy and mysteries of universe. Callisto, meaning ‘the most beautiful’ in ancient Greek or Jupiter IV (the natural satellite of Jupiter discovered in 1610 by Galileo) is as powerful and striking as its name suggests.
