First composed in 1957 by Paul Vacher, the revisited in 2016 by Rodrigo Flores-Roux, Cologne Nocturne expresses not only the citrus, but also the imaginary and anachronistic meeting of both perfumers. ‘The idea was to make a reversed cologne: a fairly masculine perfume with an aromatic and woody signature, refind yet graceful, perfect for summer nights.’ Sultry as a fancy evening out, but bright as a morning promise. A fleeting hurry of citrus introduces an eloquent ruffle of aromatic herbs. Patchouli, cedar and wood coordinate to reveal a signature with wisely chosen care, like the image of a white shirt, abandoned on unmade bedsheets in the early morning.
