Rosendo Mateu originally went on to study technical chemical engineering whilst working in analysis and control laboratories and in cosmetic research. This was the time when he became interested in perfumes.

In 1968 when Rosendo Mateu was 22 years old he began his olfactory study of ingredients in Grasse where he acquired the knowledge of the main natural ingredients used in perfumery. This fragrance is therefore inspired by the origins of the master, his awakening to the world of fragrances and perfumes and his studies in Grasse.

1968 by Rosendo Mateu is a fresh and floral scent based on the overwhelming fragrance of tuberose, sophisticated and sensuous. It is a clean green tuberose creation with rose, aromatic notes and a base of vanilla, musk and woody notes.
